On Friday Feb. 13, 2009, Edward graduated from the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy! He spent 19 weeks in the physically and emotionally exhausting academy in order to best prepare him for the life of a police officer.
We are so proud of him and all he has accomplished. We love you Edward!!! Here are some of the pictures from Graduation Day. The morning we went to the academy for "Colors" and we were able to see him sworn in. It was really cool to see where he has been going for all these weeks and to see how strict his life really was at the academy.
In the evening we went to the ceremony that included his dad presenting his badge to him and his mom and I pinning it on him.
The next step is field training which is 16 weeks of working one on one with another officer. Pretty much every move he makes, every report he writes, and every decision he makes will be
monitored and critiqued by a training officer. Sounds like fun, huh? It will be pretty stressful, but we have no doubt that he will be incredibly successful.

Last weekend we went to Uncle Steve's hockey game. Although his team didn't win, we cheered him on and enjoyed hot chocolate and popcorn! It was Kiera's first game, and she was a bit frightened of her Godfather in all of his gear, but other than those tears we had a great time!
