10 Years Later

A few weeks ago, I attended my 10 year high school reunion. It was a great time for a couple of reasons. For one, I was able to catch up with a few that I hadn't see in years. Secondly, Edward and I were able to spend almost a whole weekend together and that doesn't happen too often. Finally, I was able to spend the weekend with some of my best friends!! We don't get to hang out altogether too often anymore, and that is what I enjoyed most about the weekend.

Kristin, Kelli, and I

Sarah, Regan, Beth and I

Some of the girls we used to hang out with!

I don't quite remember what this was about, but it did remind me of high school! (minus Edward, of course)

My BFF! I often wonder if Kelli and I would have made it through high school without eachother. We had the guys (and we love you all), but it was having eachother that really made it special (and managable)! Love you, Kel!

Tammy, Me, and Kelli the second night

Vern and I (love this guy!)

Edward, Kyle, and Chris

The crew! Marc wasn't there, but the 6 of us have been the closest of friends since high school. Love you all!

Kids = Pure Entertainment

Here is a little something for you to enjoy. The clapping at the end is Kiera.

Gabriel doesn't just like music, he LOVES music and anything to do with music. He always has. We are going to look into some music classes for him in the spring because he loves it so much. Let us know if you have any good ideas. We are thinking vocal, guitar, piano, or just something to do with music. Notice the no shoes, no shirt, no problems!!

Gabriel you are the cutest little boy ever!

We love you!!

Halloween Fun - lots of pics

Halloween was a ton of fun this year! Gabriel had a festival at school and for Halloween night we enjoyed spending time with friends and family trick-or-treating!

Edward and I with Gabriel. We were both able to help out with his carnival. Thanks Grandpa for watching Kiera for us!

Fishing with his "girlfriend" Hannah

Trying to unlock the door at Mommy's station

Ball and bucket something or other station

Golfing at Daddy's station - Daniel couldn't be there the day of, but he did manage to make the putt-putt golf station! Good job, Daniel!

Gabriel and Kiera with their pumpkins the next day. They really had fun just walking around and pretending they were balls. Thank goodness they were never destroyed!

Attemptimg to get a picture on Halloween before trick-or-treating. It didn't really happen.

Our little dalmation. When given the choice, she chose to be a "dog-dog".

Our superhero Robin. When asked what he wanted to be leading up to Halloween, he kept saying wrapping paper. However we went to buy their costumes and he decided he wanted to be a superhero. He still enjoys putting his costume on!

Going trick or treating

Kiera caught on quickly!

Kiera with her Godparents!

Kami and Tommy took the easy way out! They had fun in the wagon.

Makayla, the duck, also caught on quickly and enjoyed the evening. Too cute!

Sushi and Pillow Fun

In an attempt to catch up with the blog, I am combining a few things we did over Fall Break.

Edward and his mom took the week of my fall break off in October, so we headed west to CA for almost a whole week. It was a difficult week, but we did have some fun, too!Kiera works on eating her california roll with a chopstick.

Gabriel taking a stab at it as well. He really enjoys eating with chopsticks just like his daddy and grandpa. (Yes Gabriel has really bad scratches on his face from a fall on the sidewalk. Thank goodness he healed nicely and we only look by bad parents through pictures and not in person any more!)

Gabriel took a picture of Edward and I. (By the way all of the pictures happened for pure entertainment, the wait and food took forever so we were trying to keep the kids happy!)
Kiera and GrandpaGabriel and Grandma

Sometimes I wonder how my children end up with bruises, scratches, and who know's what else. Then, I look at the folloing pictures and I realize. Maybe it isn't normal to do outlandish things with your children that may not always be the wisest or safest.

Here Gabriel is being pushed along the wood floor on a pillow by his dad to his grandpa. Okay, pretty fun.

Then, Kiera wants in on it. Okay, we can handle that.

Then they want in on it together. Not the best idea I have ever heard. This one, by the way, did not turn out so well. However, both children had fun and there were no major injuries, this time.

80's Birthday Party

Don, Tommy, Jen, Leia, Katie, Anessa, Me, and Edward posing for pictures
A while back Edward and I were invited to an 80's themed birthday prty for our friend Anessa. She really went all out and we really had a great time dressing up and eating 80's candy! Edward and Don both really liked that part. Anessa insisted that everyone dress up and even bought back up items at the Salvation Army in case people showed without their 80's gear. I will let the pictures tell the story.

The "Carnival"

At the end of September we headed to a nearby park that has lots of things for the kids to enjoy. There are a few playgrounds, a merry-go-round, a train, and a few more rides. When we pulled into the parking lot Gabriel proceeded to tell us that we weren't going to the park, we were going to a carnival! Too cute.
A not so great picture of Kiera and her Daddy
Gabriel taking a break from the heat

Kiera and Abby - yes, it was very hot that day, but Kiera wasn't sweating that bad, I poured water on her head to help keep her cool. Also, Kiera would not let us help her on this ride. She threw an absolute fit if I didn't walk away when she was bucked in and ready to go. I was a nervous wreck, but she did awesome!

Gabriel on the waverunner

Going for a train ride (Makayla was a bit upset-it was the last stop before leaving to go home for naps!)

Gabriel and Addisen on the Ferris Wheel. I think they all rode a total of 3 or 4 times. They simply loved it.

Gabriel with Abby. He had to take a ride with each of his friends. We think he is keeping his options open that way. Hehe!!
