The Youth Museum

Since summer is ending (oh, wait it isn't, but school is starting) so we decided to take the kids to a youth museum. I can't remember what it is called, but it is in Mesa, and it was a ton of fun.

This was a fun activity that allowed you to create a picture with precut peices and would overlap and the colors would change and what-not. Gabriel really liked it.

Here the kids colored with watercolor crayons, and then they got water on a q-tip and applied it to the picture to make it look like a watercolor. I think we need some of these for the house. I think Kelli and Holly had as much fun as the kids did!

The current theme at the museum is "Table Manners" so they had a lot of rooms dedicated to food, kitchens, and what-not. This area was Japanese themed with a shorter table with pillows to sit on and sushi and chopsticks. Gabriel was getting really good with the chopsticks by the time he was done! I think this was his favorite.

The activity room is for kids 4 and under with all sorts of things to play with. Gabriel and Addisen were fighting over this toy for a while. They both enjoyed putting the money in the drawer, closing it, and then opening it again. Eventually the toy had to go into time out because of all the fighting (even though they appear to be peaceful here - this picture was caught by pure accident)!

This car was a big hit as well. Notice Abby trying to climb in, too? This did not end too well either. They all really did have a good time!!

I don't think I know anyone who says "what-not" besides you and Chris ;)

These pictures are too cute!
