Railroad Park & a Hair Cut
We took the kids to the Scottsdale Railroad Park on Sunday. It was really cool. We had never been before and now we think we are going to do Gabriel's birthday party there! We had a ton of fun going on the train, the carousel, and just playing on the huge playground! (Notice my haircut? Holy cow, huh?)

13.1
We did it! A week ago Sunday Leia and I ran our first half-marathon. Our time wasn't that fabulous, we didn't run the whole thing, and it was hard, but we did it. We started out running by Ernesto asking me if I would run with Leia if she started running. I was about 8 months pregnant at the time, so of course I said sure! After I was cleared by my doctor we were off, literally. We don't always keep to our schedule, but we always keep going. Some days we run and others we hit the gym. Here are the results!
So, just imagine for a second what you are looking at. This is at about mile 6.5. We each had to run ahead and turn around as the other jogged ever so slowly to get the perfect picture! Lets just say there were a lot of people laughing at us!
Here we are finishing strong! Both Leia and I had lots of friends and family out there supporting us. We really appreciate the encouragement, the love, and the support. This has been my saving grace with Edward in the academy so I especially want to thank him for supporting my habit! :)Sunday, January 25, 2009
9 Months Old
Kiera is 9 months old already! It is so hard to believe that our baby is growing so fast. She is weighing in at 21 pounds 4 ounces and is 28 1/2 inches tall. (Gabriel at this age was 24 pounds and 31 inches tall!) It is hard to believe that Gabriel was even bigger than she is! I did a little photo shoot on her 9 month birthday, so here is what she is up to:
Here she is playing with some of her favorite toys. When she is happy and wants to play she entertain herself for quite a while.....however, when she is cranky and done, well she lets you know!
She loves snacktime and sharing her snacks with the dog. Parris knows she doesn't have to wait long for a little snack of her own.
Driving and talking on the phone already! She is just like her mother! Kiera is very active and is almost walking. She pushes anything around that will move for her, but her stroller for her baby is a favorite (Thanks Bill and Terri).

Baby Thomas David
Edward's cousin Jennifer and her husband, Don, welcomed their first child into the world this week. He is so precious! Today we took the kids over to meet baby Tommy (or T.D. which is what Edward calls him). Kiera was very interested in him. (She loves babies.) Gabriel didn't seem to be too interested, but that is probably because Don was there and he LOVES Don! Don is always such a good sport about playing with Gabriel even though I'm sure he was tired and would have rather been sitting down relaxing!
Gabriel only wanted to take a picture with Tommy if Don was in the picture.

The Zoo!
We were so lucky this year! We got a membership to the zoo for Christmas!!! Thanks Uncle Tony!
Edward was working, but the kids and I went to the zoo with some friends! It was Kiera's first time! We had so much fun.
Gabriel, Isaac, and Ethan had a lot of fun watching the baby orangutan. He was so cute.
When Grandma came to visit we all went to zoo lights! The weather was perfect, the lights were beautiful, and we enjoyed a great dinner afterwards! Pictured we have Auntie, Uncle Steve, Edward, Grandma, Uncle Mundo, Auntie Katie, Jen, Don, and me and the kids!

Christmas, finally.....
Merry Christmas from the Hache's! Okay so we are a bit late and not all of the Christmas cards actually got out. Sorry friends! But, why do you need a Christmas card when you look here every so often! :) Here we are opening our stockings. Kiera's stocking is different obviously because we just got hers this year. Get this, they don't have the year on this one. Gabriel's has the year, so I thought hers would, but no. Stupid Potterybarn.
Gabriel playing with his table. Santa had it all set up for him!
Kiera actually really got into unwrapping her presents. I was really surprised since Gabriel wasn't really for his first Christmas (and technically he was 10 days older). Grandpa decided to stay with us through Christmas. The kids loved having him around. He gives the best baths and is always willing to play with them no matter what they want to do!! They really miss him!!!
We couldn't get a single picture of all of us facing the camera, but in this picture Kiera started laughing at Gabriel and it made us all laugh. I thought it turned out cute.
P.S. We also went to Auntie and Uncle Steve's house on Christmas morning and my family came over in the afternoon for even more prestents. Let's be honest though, do you really want to see more Christmas pcitures???
